Chad Boston's Guitar Tech and Maintenance offers repair and modification services for electric guitars and basses. We can customize your instrument's setup to match your playing style, and each setup comes with three adjustments for up to three months after you pick up your instrument.

Our electric or bass setup also costs $125. It includes restringing, adjusting the truss rod and neck angle, action, intonation, balancing tremolo, adjusting pickups, tightening hardware, cleaning and oiling the fingerboard, polishing the guitar and frets, and replacing the battery.

If you need fretwork, we can level and recrown your existing frets or replace them using your preferred size and type of fret wire. Fret leveling starts at $190, while re-fretting costs $545.

We can also make handmade nuts and saddles with the material of your choice, starting at $125.

We offer simple to complex customizations for wiring, electronics, and pickups to suit your needs. We don't accept or use any customer-supplied wiring parts other than pickups. Our rate for this service is $125 per hour.

Our shop rate is $125 per hour, and we charge a $50 bench fee. We also provide detailed written appraisals for $150.

Please be aware that the prices mentioned above may vary depending on the final evaluation of your instrument. We operate on an appointment system as a service-oriented business in high demand. Therefore, please make sure to book an appointment online. The turnaround time for most repairs is around two to three weeks.
